Perform – Case Study

Perform – Case Study

In preparation for their float on the LSE, Perform Group needed a new site which better showcased their offering to the world. We implemented the new site and CMS and continue to manage their online presence.

Perform Group are a global plc and the largest digital sports media agency in the world. Perform provide digital sports content to most uk newspaper and betting sites and run the websites for over 90% of the world’s top-flight football clubs. An experienced company within the digital sector, Perform approached us in 2010 with a brief of redesigning and rebuilding their large corporate website and peripheral campaign sites.

Objective

The brief was to redesign, restructure and redevelop the website in order to support the company’s wider rebranding and stock market IPO. The redesign needed to reflect a mature yet cutting-edge business with sophisticated functionality to support various sub-brands and their data streaming. One of the major concerns for Perform was ensuring that the site could relaunch in time to coincide with an overall company rebrand. The rebrand played a pivotal role in the run-up to various pitches and presentations that the company was undertaking as part of their listing earlier in 2011.

Solution

We reviewed the site design, structure and content and worked closely with perform to understand the values that they wanted to reflect as a brand. Although they had an identity already, it was important that the website reflected the new direction that perform planned to take. The site structure was reviewed and we reworked the site tree massively with careful planning to ensure that the site had logical flows for every type of user. Lots of work was done to identify the types of user that the site catered for who, with very different business objectives were looking for different types of information and ultimately a different type of outcome.

Results

Due to the striking and professional new design and the improved structure and navigation the site launched in perfect synchronisation with the company’s rebrand. The site launched to great acclaim and fully supported Perform’s LSE listing in April 2010. Now with considerable investment secured and a new brand in place perform look set to continue their huge growth throughout the world.
